<72 Reasons to be vegan>

I was thinking about starting a vegetarian diet again, but I wanted to read a book related to it, so I searched on Aladdin and found this book.
I bought it because I liked the pretty colors of this book and the clear title.

72 Reasons to be vegan

What if the font is small? I was worried, but when it has been arrived and I saw it, it was 'Oh, it's so cute'~😊
It's small, pocket-sized, has a crisp white paper, is in color, and has cute pictures.

The font size is appropriate,too~♥

It's a book you'll want to look at again and again because it's edited in a variety of pretty colors.

The content of this book is mostly divided into three issues.

1. Respect for animal life
2. Prevention of environmental pollution
3. Pursuit of human health

β—†About the author

Gene Stone

In the past, he was a meat addict, but as he became interested in health and the environment, he continued to read and study the effects of meat on humans and the environment, and eventually became a pescatarian (eating fish but not meat) and is now a vegetarian.

Kathy Freston

16 years ago, while playing with her dog, she suddenly realized that her dog was no different from other animals such as pigs, goats, chickens, and cows. And I became disgusted with all animal meat. She became vegan after a year of new food recipe courses.

Here, rather than introducing all 72 reasons to be vegan, I pick out a few of the main ones and talk about them~^^

5. Cow's milk is kind of gross.

Cow's milk is kind of gross

The production of milk recently is more twice than that of thirty years ago.

This is the result of the dairy industry selectively breeding cows to produce huge amounts of milk, all while injecting them with a cocktail of antibiotics and hormones to make them produce even more.

The cows are milked relentlessly for ten months until their milk production un decreses, and then they are artificially impregnated once again.

Because of the stress associated with producing such extreme amounts of milk, dairy cows often suffer from a condition called mastitis. Mastitis is so common that there are approximately 1,120,000 somatic cells per spoonful of cow's milk.

☞I remember being forced to drink milk when I was in elementary school. I didn't want to have it, so I put it on the side of the desk and took the puffed milk home, and gave it to other family members to drink. When I ate it, my stomach started to bloat. It wasn't like that when I grew up, but... I'm really angry that dairy companies are forcing us to drink milk that isn't good for our health just to make money!
These days, I'm using oat milk and soy milk, and they don't have many additives, and they're nutty and delicious.

12. Most Fish are polluted by mercury and plastic.

Mercury finds it's way into fish from several sources.

When coal and other fossil fuels are burned, mercury-cintaining emissions are carried into the ocean by rain. Mercury from household and industrial waste finds it's way into soil and the ground water. Naturally occurring bacteria convert it into a compound called methylmercury, which gets eaten by plankton, who are then eaten by small fish, who are then eaten by bigger fish.

☞ I used to really like salmon and ate it often, but recently, I felt nauseous a few times while eating salmon sushi. I learned a shocking secret about salmon from a vegetarian blog. When salmon are farmed, parasites eat the salmon and cause death. These dead salmon are cleaned and sold again, and it is said that the flesh of dead salmon like this is gray. It is said that this gray color can be turned pink again by spraying pigment. γ… γ… yuck!

13. Healthy Fats come from Nuts, Seeds, and Avocados.

All of these are rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are great good for your brain, your immune system, and your blood pressure. And they are delicious and filling- easy to snack on and toss into salads and put on sandwiches.

31. The World is becoming overrun with animal poop.

animal poop

In the United State alone, livestock produce approximately 396 million tons of excrement every year.

The average beef cow eats around 90 pounds of food a day, and poops 15 times a day. That's about 65 pounds of poop a day, or close to 12 tons of poop a year. A lactating cow poops nearlly 150 pounds worth every day. That's 27 tons a year.

This poop is generally stored in waste lagoons or sprayed over field as fertilizer.

The toxic runoff carries nitrates, phosphorus, bacteria, and viruses that contaminate nearby ground water, which can kill fish and harm people.

41. pigs are smarter than a three-year-old child.

like humans, pigs are very social animals, they can learn skills from one another, and they can complete tasks as a team. they never stop learning. A researcher at the University of Illinois found that pigs can even figure out how to control the thermostat of their barn. Anyone who has spent time with pigs will also attest to their wide range of personalities, as diffirent as Wilbur from babe.

48. You can save money.

save money

The staples of a vegan diet are cheap. Oatmeal, peanut butter, chickpeas, black beans, tofu, acorn mook, paprica, brocolli, cabbage, salad, all kinds of fruits, all kinds of vegitables, all kinds of nuts, soy meat, plant-based yogurt, burgers, and cheeses. You will save more money in the long term, because you will be healthier.

62. You Will have seriously good poops.

conspitation

According to a 2016 study published in the journal Clinical Nutrition Research, people who followed a nonmeat diet loaded with fruits and vegetables for twelve weeks reported less constipation. This is partly becuase meat takes as long as 4 days to move through your body(during which time it begins to rot), while plants typically pass through within 24 hours.

☞ I had been suffering from constipation for a long time, but after eating mostly vegetarian food every day, my intestines felt more comfortable~^^

There is also a lot of other useful information about vegan or vegetarian, so if you are interested in vegetarianism, be sure to read it~ 😍

Have a nice day~♥
